Jane Campbell acquired a Masters Degree in Art Education by study of art at universities in Washington state, Utah, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin. She furthered her art education with participation in art workshops by Ned Mueller, Linda Tippets, Richard Schmidt and several others.
A member of the Snake River Plein Air Painters since 2000, she adds her sensitive and colorful pastel plein air paintings to the group’s annual show. “Working with pastels is excellent for plein air painting; it is fast, colorful, and easily controlled. One can use pastels for sketching or spend time doing a finished, involved painting. The results can be fascinating either way. Pastels are easily transported and stored when traveling from place-to-place. They are a rewarding medium.”
