Mary Ann Cherry is a co-founder of the Pastel Society of the Northern Rockies and a signature member of the Pastel Society of America. She is also a Master Signature Member of Women Artists of the West.
In 2010 Cherry was the guest artist at two museum shows, the Women Artists of the West show in at the Olaf Wieghorst Museum in El Cajon, California, and the Clymer Museum in Ellensberg, Washington.
Cherry was 2007 Best of Show winner of the Phippen Museum juried annual show in Prescott, Arizona and winner of the Phippen Foundation Award and Best Pastel.
She lives on the edge of the Snake River where wildlife and good painting opportunities are abundant.
